What’s the difference between b-stock, demo products and used products? 2017-09-01T12:56:10+00:00

B-Stock Products are new inventory items that do not meet our selling standards due to minor damage or defects that occurred during handling and transport. We have several categories of b-stock items, all of which are identified as one of the following: Cosmetic Packaging Defects, Physical Packaging Damage or Original Packaging Missing. In these three cases, the product is in perfect condition, but the packaging has been damaged. Occasionally, the actual product has some very minor damage and these defects are indicated as Minor Cosmetic Damage or Visible Cosmetic Damage. All b-stock products are fully covered by the manufacturers standard warranty.

Demo Products have been used by SFM sales reps or staff as demo units in tradeshows or trainings. Demo products have remained in our possession and have never been sold to a customer. Demo products are graded as to their condition and priced accordingly. All demo products are inspected and tested and are fully covered by the manufacturers standard warranty.

Used Products have been sold to and used by a customer before being returned to us. In many cases these are service loaners or long term evaluation or demo items. Used products are graded as to their condition and priced accordingly. All used products are inspected and tested and are fully covered by an SFM 90-day warranty. Demo & used products are categorized and graded as follows: No Defects, Minor Cosmetic Damage, Visible Cosmetic Damage or Physical Damage. Demo & used products packaging may also show signs of wear or damage.

Why don’t you have your dealers’ names listed on your website? 2016-11-18T15:36:32+00:00

SFM distributes a wide variety of products through our network of dealers. Some sell pro audio and/or lighting, some only service the installation and contracting markets, some are AV Rental specialists and others are retail music stores which primarily sell products used by people who create or perform music. By communicating directly with you when you need to find a source for our products, we can connect you with someone who is familiar with and stocks the products that you are interested in.

To get connected to an SFM dealer in your area please contact us.
