Description
The BirdDog BD4KHDMI is a professional 4K NDI encoder and decoder designed to convert HDMI video sources into full-bandwidth NDI streams for IP-based workflows and vice versa. Built around BirdDog’s custom NDI silicon chip, it supports resolutions up to 3840_2160 at 60fps and includes HDMI 2.0 input with HDMI and 12G-SDI outputs, enabling flexible signal routing and cross conversion. The unit integrates a tally system, OLED status display, and audio intercom functionality, while network connectivity is provided via Gigabit Ethernet with PoE+ and an SFP+ slot supporting 1–10GbE fibre connections. Compact and housed in an aluminium enclosure, it provides a robust solution for broadcast and AV environments requiring reliable NDI encoding and decoding.
