Description
The BirdDog BD4KSDI is a 4K NDI encoder and decoder designed to convert 12G-SDI video signals into full-bandwidth NDI streams for IP production workflows and decode NDI back to SDI or HDMI outputs. It supports resolutions up to 3840_2160 at 60fps and utilises BirdDog’s custom NDI silicon for high-quality i-frame compression. The unit includes 12G-SDI input and output, HDMI output, built-in cross conversion, and integrated tally indication with an OLED display. Connectivity includes Gigabit Ethernet with PoE+ and an SFP+ expansion slot for fibre network integration, making it suitable for professional broadcast environments requiring SDI and NDI interoperability.
