The primary role of the Product Manager is to ensure the growth, profitability, and overall success of the Digiflex brand by managing its portfolio of standard products and assist the standard & custom manufacturing teams.

The product manager has a pivotal role in our organization as he/she must gather and organize a large number of human & technical resources in order to complete initiatives and projects on time and on budget.

The product manager therefore has a role that combines technical expertise with business acumen.


  • Responsible for the overall performance and profitability of the Digiflex product portfolio. Must continuously monitor sales performance and profit margin of each product, as well as survey customers (retailers, production compagnies, AV integrators), sales representatives and industry professionals about relevant products, technology developments, market trends and competition.
  • Responsible for creating profitable new products from inception to sale. This includes, but not limited to: product design, component selection, packaging design, production cost, evaluation of third-party resources for production purposes, compliance with laws & regulations, competitive analysis, targeted profitability, definition of specifications, high-level marketing direction, etc.
  • The Product Manager is the one recommending the discontinuation or creation of products in order to optimize our offering and profitability. Therefore, the product manager must have the ability to gather a large amount of information and suggestions and with the assistance of our team, use his/her experience, knowledge and insight to identify and prioritize real growth opportunities that are aligned with our long-term corporate vision.
  • The Product Manager is responsible for the data integrity of each standard product in our ERP & PIM software’s and on our price lists. This includes cost management & customer pricing, product descriptions, images, application notes, weights & dimensions, etc.
  • In collaboration with our marketing department and/or our IT department, the Product Manager is in charge of maintaining, modifying or upgrading our Digiflex website to support its strategic alignment, which also includes our Digiflex Configure to Order (CTO) website.
  • The Product Manager will be continuously collaborating with the SFM Brand Management and Sales teams who are in charge of sales activities in the field.

The types of standard products Digiflex offers are:

  • Professional audio, video, electrical, network or control cables including point-to-point and multipair cables. Instrument and pro-sumer cables. Accessories for AV professionals and musicians.

Our Custom manufacturing department can offer a variation/customization of about any of the aforementioned products as well as build fiber optic cables, ruggedized custom network cables, custom connection plates; wall, rackmount, mobile electrical racks, etc.

  • The ideal candidate has completed a professional college diploma (DEP) or a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, business administration, electronics, industrial design or a related filed. In lieu of such degree, relevant proven track records will be considered.
  • Previous work experience in Product Management (3 years+) and/or Manufacturing is essential.
  • Must demonstrate experience launching successful products.
  • Must be able to easily use Windows and the Office Suite. Solid knowledge of Excel is needed.
  • Experience working with technologies being used to develop products, validate proof of concept or work with collaborators, i.e.: SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Revit or Autocad.
  • Experience in website management or ecommerce portal will be considered an asset.
  • Bilingual (English & French)
