Dorval, Quebec – SFM is excited to announce that Anya, Eastern Acoustic Works’ (EAW) newest touring PA system, has arrived in Canada. Based at SFM’s head office in Montreal, the system comprises sixteen Anya modules, all networking, power, cabling and accessories and all in a road-ready package.

What is Anya?

eaw_anya_614Anya is a new and revolutionary system and complete break from the current approach and understanding of touring sound. It is a complete, self-contained, high-power sound reinforcement system that adapts all performance parameters electronically, allowing it to be used in virtually any application. Columns of Anya modules hang straight, without any vertical splay, and EAW’s Resolution™ software adapts total system performance to produce asymmetrical output that delivers coherent, full-frequency range response across the entire coverage area as defined by the user. It is extremely powerful and immensely scalable.

“We are very excited to have an Anya system here in Canada and to be at the forefront in this new evolution of touring sound”, explains Elie Bellama, EAW product manager at SFM. “Anya is a complete break from the current approach and understanding of touring system design and application. It is the culmination of 15 years of research and technology development. Adaptive Performance is the key aspect. Imagine a PA system that can hang straight and completely adapt its performance, including coverage and frequency response, according to the space and application requirements in a matter of seconds. Engineers can now (finally) be confident that their mixes will translate well within the coverage area, and that Anya systems will sound consistent from venue to venue. Plus, it can be quickly deployed and withdrawn in a fraction of the time with a fraction of the manpower of a conventional touring line array system”.

The versatility, adaptability and control of Anya are unparalleled. If the trim height changes, the barricade moves, they open up the balcony, or the neighbors are complaining, the user simply changes a few numbers in Resolution™ and the system will be back to optimal performance in minutes. No mechanical or physical alterations to the system are necessary.

SFM will be communicating additional information and announcing events where Anya will appear beginning in early fall 2014. For additional information, contact your local SFM EAW representative.
