Whether it’s for a residence or commercial facility, an investment in control and automation comes with the expectation of a seamless system that just works. RTI’s RTiQ intelligent remote monitoring solution makes it easy to meet this expectation by supporting your clients’ systems remotely and avoiding the frustration and inconvenience of system downtime and service calls.
At any time, and from anywhere with an Internet connection, you can log into the RTiQ web dashboard to check on the health of your client’s system and remotely trigger actions to resolve problems. In addition, automated text and email alerts keep you informed of system issues so that you can resolve them quickly, often before the client is even aware of them.
RTiQ remote monitoring dramatically reduces system downtime by eliminating the need for expensive service calls using customizable actions to address issues. These actions include anything the control system is capable of, such as running macros or sending commands. When used with a power distribution unit (PDU), it is simple to reset the power for an individual device or an entire rack of gear. The RTiQ dashboard also displays software, firmware and driver versions along with a history of system events to help track down problems quickly. If a trip to the client is required, the technician knows what to look for and what gear they need.
The RTiQ service is offered for free to RTI dealers and utilizes an XP series control processor installed in a system. The XP processor continuously reports on the health of the system and any monitored external devices to the RTiQ cloud. Using Integration Designer programming software, you can simply enable RTiQ, configure devices to monitor, and create custom actions to remotely service the system.
