Description
Developed to meet the rigorous demands of touring and recording artist Andy Timmons, the Mk3 Driver reinterprets a classic 3-control overdrive architecture using a blend of JFET saturation, op-amp gain, and diode clipping.It features intuitive Level, Drive, and Tone knobs alongside two specialized mini-toggle switches. The AT/RK Drive switch lets you toggle between asymmetrical LED/silicon clipping (for Andy’s bright, articulate attack) and dual germanium diodes (for a smoother, compressed, slightly fuzzy feel).
The AT/RK Tone switch either cuts low-end frequencies for enhanced note clarity or boosts the low-frequency response for extra power and punch. With support for 9V to 18V DC operation for massive headroom and user-selectable true-bypass or buffered switching on the fly, it functions as an all-encompassing, highly adaptable overdrive.
