Neutrik powerCON TRUE1 and NE8MC end of life & replacement notice

powerCON TRUE1 and etherCON NE8MC*(-B)

February 2019 – In conjunction with the recent release of the True Outdoor Protection (TOP) Series as well as upgrades in its manufacturing processes and tooling, Neutrik has announced the discontinuation of the powerCON TRUE1 line and its replacement with the powerCON TRUE1 TOP versions. This new series features revamped versions of the popular powerCON TRUE1, etherCON and XLR connector lines which provide highly resilient and reliable interconnect solutions for demanding outdoor applications. In addition, the NE8MC and NE8MC-1 etherCON products are also approaching end of life and will be replaced by NE8MX models (non-TOP versions).
Below is a complete list of the current models and associated replacements. Please take note of these changes in order to adjust bills of materials accordingly.

The powerCON TRUE1 TOP and NE8MX models are drop-in replacements, making them 100% compatible with the discontinued versions. Moreover, the powerCON TRUE1 TOP models carry the same cUL certificates as the discontinued versions in addition to being compliant with the UL50e standard for outdoor applications.

SFM is very well stocked on most powerCON TRUE1 and NE8MC* products, and will continue to offer them until stock is depleted. Therefore, the transition from the current versions to the new models is expected to start in spring 2019.
