Started with a Song, the debut album from Shure’s most recent Canadian artist endorser, was a prelude of what was to come for Brett Kissel in 2014.

The Flat Lake, Alberta singer-songwriter has taken the Canadian Country Music landscape by storm. The album produced 4 Billboard Canadian Top 10 Singles which includes the title Started with a Song, Raise Your Glass, 3-2-1, and Tough People Do.

Kissel led the 2014 CCMA Awards with 8 nominations and 2 wins for CMT Video of the Year and Interactive Artist of the Year. His fiery performance at the CCMA broadcast was a memorable moment as he closed off the evening of performances atop a burning car singing his hit, 3-2-1.

Kissel also won the 2014 Juno Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, something that no Country Music artist has done in 17 years.

At 24-years old, Kissel is poised for a long and successful career. His songs about family, love and youthful exuberance, reverberate with his countless fans across the country, including all of us here at Shure. He just came off the coast-to-coast leg of Brad Paisley’s Country Nation World Tour, where Kissel had the honour of opening up for one of the world’s top country superstars.

It may have Started with a Song, but Kissel is already working on his follow-up album and is set to continue to bring his music to fans across the country throughout 2015.
