Training Room (5-30 people)

Example Scenario:

A productivity training session, presented by a software company, is taking place in your training room. The training is on a new productivity software app, and the presenters will be demonstrating its functionality and features. The training room has a capacity of 30 attendees, and the presenters will use various multimedia resources such as PowerPoint presentations, videos, and live demonstrations. During the training session, some technical issues arise with the audio system and the video projector. The poor audio quality hinders several attendees from hearing the presenters clearly, while the video resolution was not clear, making it challenging to see the multimedia resources displayed on the screen. A member of the IT department is called to verify the AV system and determines that AV equipment needs some maintenance and servicing.

The result: the rest of the training session had to continue without video or audio sources, causing frustration for the presenters and the attendees.

In light of the situation, your organization decides to upgrade the equipment in the training room to provide a more exceptional audio and visual experience for future training sessions and presentations.

But where do you start?
Naturally, the available solutions out there are vast and can be intimidating, so you may need some guidance or recommendations on what the best setup for your needs might be.

To help you get started, here’s a detailed example of one possible AV setup for a training room.

The System:

In this scenario, we are leveraging the Q-SYS Eco System, using a Q-SYS Core as our DSP and Control Platform, we complement the room with Q-SYS Acoustic Design™ Ceiling Speakers and Surface Speakers, SPA Amplifiers, the Network Camera NC-110 and a Gen 3 TSC Touchscreen. While the Q-SYS is handling the Audio DSP, we will use the SHURE MXA920 ceiling mics to ensure all collaborators in the room are heard. The in-room Host PC and Blustream wireless presenter (AMF-41W) will be connected to the Blustream AV Encoders and transmit the Audio/Video through the Netgear PoE M4250 Series ProAV Network Switch to the Blustream AV Decoders mounted behind the Sony Displays. The wireless presenter from Blustream allows the presenter the flexibility of wirelessly mirroring whichever type of device via either Airplay (Apple), Miracast (Android) or Wireless Display Sharing (Windows 10 devices). Using the Blustream AV decoders on all the displays in the room means the presenter can decide at the touch of a button, what he chooses to display in the front of the room but also in the back of the room on the confidence monitors. Most importantly, all these devices are protected using Panamax network-controlled surge suppression units to ensure the technological investment is protected.
