Description

The Waves IONIC 16 delivers high-resolution audio conversion and pristine sound quality for live environments, broadcast productions, and mobile recording rigs. At its core are custom discrete analog circuits offering maximum headroom, a wide dynamic range, and an extremely low noise floor. It features unique analog-modeled HMX harmonic enhancement per channel to impart vintage warmth, plus a switchable input impedance selector to change how microphones react.

  • 12 Line Outputs: Clean, high-fidelity XLR outputs with switchable maximum levels (+18 dBu or +24 dBu per output)
  • Selectable Input Impedance: Choose between a classic 2 kΩ or modern 7 kΩ setting to adjust mic response and flexibility
  • HMX Harmonic Enhancer: Switchable analog-modeled saturation per input for added analog warmth without losing punch or clarity
  • Digital I/O & Headphone Outs: Stereo AES3 digital input/output plus two independent, powerful headphone outputs with dedicated volume control
  • Network & Sample Rates: Supports sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96 kHz over a secure SoundGrid Ethernet connection
